Garlic Rosemary Slow Cooker Chicken


1-2 large onions

1 whole chicken

Garlic Olive Oil

Rosemary Olive Oil

Salt, pepper, and other seasonings


Slice your onions up into thin layers and cover the bottom of your slow cooker with them.  This keeps the chicken from getting burnt on the bottom and imparts a beautiful caramelized onion flavour.

Place any remaining slices of onion in the cavity of the chicken.

Place the chicken in the slow cooker and pour a good amount (at least 2 tbsp each) of both Garlic Olive Oil and Rosemary Olive Oil over the chicken.

Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and any other desired seasonings (more rosemary, oregano, etc).

Cook on high for 4-6 hours or low for 6-8 hours.
