Dark Chocolate Balsamic Popcorn
Ingredients:
6 Cups prepared Ancient Grain popcorn
3 Tbsp Olive Oil Co. Savoury Butter Olive Oil
3 Tbsp Maple Syrup (or honey)
1/2 cup granulated sugar & ¼ brown sugar
1/2 Tsp baking soda
sea salt or Pink Himalayan salt
Chocolate Drizzle
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
1 Tbsp of Olive Oil Co. Torino Chocolate Dark Balsamic
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees
2. Melt Chocolate chips, add chocolate balsamic to melted chocolate and set aside.
3. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
4. Place popcorn in a large bowl.
5. In a non-stick pan, add Butter Olive Oil, Maple Syrup, sugar on medium heat to dissolve sugar.
6. Bring to a low boil and cook without stirring until caramel darkens, 2-3 minutes. Add baking
soda carefully as it will foam up, and stir it in.
NOTE: the caramel will set fast! Pour the caramel mixture over the popcorn and stir quickly to
cover all popcorn
7. Pour onto a baking tray, spread out evenly.
8. Drizzle melted chocolate over popcorn. Bake for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with sea salt
