At a time when consumers are increasingly questioning the labeling on food products, we warn people about the deception taking place in the olive oil business.

Tom Mueller, author of Extra Virginity: The Sublime and Scandalous World of Olive Oil, has exposed the corruption behind the olive oil industry and producers who are labeling their products as ‘extra virgin’ when they are barely ‘virgin.’ Oils are being cut with hazelnut or sunflower oil, and in some cases they are deodorizing musty oil taken from rotting olives and adding a bit of extra virgin oil to make it smell like a quality product. Since the olive oil market isn’t really regulated it is easy for companies to pass off inferior products and make false claims about the quality and origin of their oil. We stress the importance of finding reputable sources for true extra virgin olive oil. We utilize the alternating harvest seasons in the Northern and Southern hemispheres to access the most recent olive crushes for the freshest juice. Their olive oils are tested twice, once in a world renowned, independent lab in Australia which guarantees a fresh, pure, unadulterated product of the highest standard.

What makes the false claims so harmful is many consumers buy premium olive oil because it contains antioxidants that fight many diseases including, cancer, strokes, inflammation and immune deficiencies. Unless it is truly ‘extra virgin’ from only quality sources, those antioxidants are barely present and the oil offers few, if any health benefits.

We offer fused and infused olive oil products and balsamic vinegar that does not contain any caramel colouring, added sugar, or any artificial colours and flavours. It is also gluten free, certified organic, non-GMO, and ultra-premium.
