An all-natural, soothing and protective balm for baby and family. With the healing benefits of calendula, marshmallow root and lavender, Healing Balm (2 oz.) is ideal for diaper rash, soothing dry skin, eczema, and protecting sensitive skin from the elements!

Recommended Uses:

Ingredients:
Olive Oil: This oil is a favourite for dry and irritated skin. It is very well absorbed and is extremely gentle. Due to its low allergenic potential, it is recommended as baby’s first moisturizer. Olive oil promotes skin elasticity, is a powerful anti-oxidant and heals damaged and irritated skin.
Calendula (calendula officinalis): This flower is one of the most valuable herbs in the treatment of external skin problems like excessive dryness, irritation, eczema, slow-healing wounds, skin ulcers, inflammation or minor burns.
Marshmallow Root (althaea officinalis): This emollient plant is a top pick for inflammation and irritation (both internally and externally). Its powerful healing properties include forming a mucilaginous gel (gummy matter) that protects the skin and holds moisture in. It is also known to take away the pain from bruising, bee stings and skin abrasions!
Lavender (lavandula officinalis): The addition of lavender in this case is the flower portion NOT the essential oil (this ensures we maintain a fragrance-free balm). Lavender has many medicinal properties when applied to the skin including improving circulation to the area (and therefore nourishment and healing of the skin) and decreasing pain and itching (rashes and insect bites).
Natural Beeswax: Beeswax is a by-product created by bees when constructing their hives. It has a light, delightful scent of honey that is not overpowering. Beeswax is an anti-microbial and healing agent, anti-irritant and antibacterial agent. On the skin, beeswax helps create a barrier (protection) against the environment. It helps thicken our products in a natural way.
Vitamin E: Vitamin E plays a crucial role in protecting skin cells and membranes from environmental damage. This protection extends to stopping damage to the skin from UV rays, pollutants and aging. It provides deep miniaturization for the skin whilst allowing the skin to breathe and function naturally, therefore helping to reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin E is a natural preservative that helps sustain shelf life of products.

Ms. Falkowski received an Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Western Ontario, and later went on to complete four years at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, where she graduated as a Naturopathic doctor in May of 2003. Driven by her passion for helping children and people with sensitivities, she knew when I became a mother of 3 children, that she would raise them as naturally as possible. After using various store-bought and home-made lotions and salves, she made the decision to formulate her own skin care line. She was confident with her background in botanical medicine that I could develop the ideal skin nourisher and thus Olive Baby was born! Since the very beginning, I have chosen the formulas to rely on the healing benefits of ‘nature’. Each ingredient is carefully selected based on its therapeutic value.
