The Amarena cherry is a small bitter (amara, in Italian) dark coloured Italian cherry grown in Bologna and Modena. Italian Amarena cherry purée and our Traditional Style dark balsamic are blended together creating a rich, leathery centerpoint followed by notes of sweet and sour Amarena cherry.

Product Description

The Amarena cherry is a small bitter (amara, in Italian) dark coloured Italian cherry grown in Bologna and Modena. Italian Amarena cherry purée and our Traditional Style dark balsamic are blended together creating a rich, leathery centerpoint followed by notes of sweet and sour Amarena cherry. The end result is a flavour explosion of cherry and grape must that is at once sour and bitter. Pair this vinegar with Persian Lime, Chipotle and Blood Orange olive oils for a deliciously well balanced vinaigrette or to cook leafy greens. Drizzle over Greek yogurt for a decadent and healthy treat.

Use to marinate beef, lamb, or pork for a caramelized surface

Add a few tablespoons to chopped fresh cherries, peaches, cilantro, minced jalapeño and fresh lime juice for a wonderful cherry-peach salsa
Drizzle on ice cream with fresh berries or use as an ingredient in your martini

For 1 portion or 5 oz of meat, use 1 tbsp of Oil and Balsamic. Seal together in a container and let stand 30 minutes or longer.
Salad

Salad

Drizzle 1 tsp of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Fused Olive Oil or Infused Olive Oil combined with 1 tsp of White or Dark Balsamic over single portion size salad.
Dessert

Dessert

Use 2/3 Olive Oil for every one part butter in baking. Drizzle a teaspoon of balsamic on ice cream, yogurt or cake for an added flavour shot!

    Wow, this balsamic has SO MUCH FLAVOUR! try drizzling it over a slice of cheesecake instead of using a super sugary cherry sauce, you won’t be disappointed!!!
